I got my car back from the shop. It took longer than expected because of some clearance issues with the calipers. I missed the Turbo AWD showdown that was scheduled to happen Wednesday. My buddy Mike ran his car anyway, and he ran a 12.8 @ 107MPH. I don’t think I would have got a 12 second quarter.
The brakes are on, they look nice. I will try to hit the track soon to see what my 1/4 mile time will be.
I got 3 out of the 4 new wheels I ordered today. There is a small problem with one of the wheels. It looks like it was dropped or hit with something really hard.
The wheels came in two boxes. Double boxed for its protection and there was a hole through both boxes and a dent in the rim of the wheel in the same location/angle.
So one of my wheels might be going back to Tirerack. I wrote the sales rep Rudy an email about the situation. I need to get a new wheel ASAP because I’m going to get my tires mounted and balanced on Monday.
I am hopefully waiting for his reply to see if they can send me a replacement wheel very quickly.
Despite the small imperfection, I love the wheels. They looked good on the website, and good in photos, and they look even better in person.
I can’t wait to get them put on Monday at my friends shop.
