Avatar was pretty awesome.
I went into the movie not knowing anything about it besides what I’ve heard people say about it. I knew the director made Titanic and other great movies and that it was 3d. I had no idea what the story was about. Three quarters of the way through the movie, I was engulfed.
We saw the movie at the Jordan’s IMAX theater in Reading. We got there about 40 min before the movie and there was already a long line of about 50 people. We ended up getting great seats, almost in the middle, 3rd row from the top. The 3D at IMAX is a little annoying at first, but you get used to it. I think they need to improve on the glasses or something. Some of the time the motion looks blurry and its hard to focus.
The movie being almost 3 hours long didn’t feel like it. The story was very grabbing and easy to follow. I thought from watching the trailers that it would look cartoon like, but it didn’t at all. It wasn’t exactly real life looking but it was a good mixture of both. I thought it was really well done.
I hope the movie makes back what it took to make because I heard it took something like 300 million dollars to make. When you have Titanic cash, I guess you can blow it all on 1 movie. I think it will make it back and then some, but I was pretty spot on with my box office predictions based on how hard/easy it was to get tickets for it. Transformers 2 and Spiderman 2 were a hell of a lot harder to get tickets for and they are among the top 7 top weekend gross of all time. I originally said it would do about 75mil, then changed it to 80mil. I think its pretty close to that.
Throw up an Avatar picture and done…
Why am I not tired?
Im sitting in bed wondering why I am not tired. I didn’t have an extra Mtn Dew today or anything like that. I had a couple friends over to watch the hangover, and to let them test out my sweet washer/dryer that I waiting in line for on black friday.
I put up my first christmas tree tonight, and its pretty sweet. I am actually going to put some dew in his water. I need to get some decorations because its looking a little bare. Im thinking about picking up some sweet LED lights because I’m all about going green.
The tree I got was from The Belmont Lions Club, which 100% of the sales go to charity. I forget what it said but it had something to do with school scholarships in the town of Belmont, MA. I work in belmont and its close to where I live, I felt good about my donation and tree. These days I am very concerned with where my money is going, and I’m always trying to help people out. whether its friends, family or people I don’t even know. I helped out a friend of mine from work by buying lots of her cards as a gift to my Grandmother this year. It’s a really good idea I think. Its pretty hard to buy good gifts for your grandparents.
New years eve party is coming so fast. I need to order that ball pit asap! I filmed my first promo video for the party last weekend and so far everyone loves it. I don’t know how I am going to top the video. The Cribs episode will hopefully the final video so people will know what they are missing. I have plasma tv’s in my bathroom for mirrors thats how baller I am.
Check out the video and let me know:
Making a Ball Pit! Support the cause

So it’s been a really long time since I posted anything. Its probably because I have been really busy with my life. Some new things to update. I bought a condo. So its been crazy for a month getting all the paperwork, and dealing with a mortgage and rates and stuff like that. So I moved into my place Nov 13th! The place is legit! I still have a lot of work to do. I need to get some coffee tables, night stands for my room, and possibly a bedframe thing. Now onto the main reason for posting…
As most of you might have heard, I am making a ball pit room for my place. If you know me, I’ve been wanting to create a ball pit room for years now. Now that I have my own place, where I can set the rules, I am 100% making a ball pit room.
I have been doing some research on ball diameters and measurements for the room. So far it seems like I will need 3k balls to make a decent sized pit. The balls are 80mm in diameter and have about 67 balls per cubic foot. This means to fill the space, I will need a lot of balls. I plan to have a couple air mattresses as the base, so people don’t hit the floor when diving in. This will take up about 1 foot in height. I want the overall height of the pit to be about 3 feet. That is the size of the gate and will allow you to easily be able to jump into it. Boxes of balls cost around $100 and contain 500 balls. It’s going to be quite expensive. A few of my friends are psyched that I am actually going to do this, and want to help me out. So I’ve created a donate button through paypal, so those people can put there money were their mouth is.
The goal is to open the ball pit for my new years party. Donations would be greatly appreciated but there are no obligations. I’m pretty sure the donations can be anonymous if you wanted. That said, here is the donate link below.
